Review of Danger: Diabolik (1968) by Andy H — 30 Apr 2008
A largely forgotten film from the 60â??s. A bit cheesy and very kitsch but ultimately enjoyable. The film centres around a master thief who with the help of girlfriend/accomplice plots elaborate robberies apparently for the fun and challenge of it.
The live in an underground lair that batman would be jealous of and drive E type Jaguars. The morality of the film is questionable as the supposed hero kills many innocent and a few guilty people who get in his way.
Look out for appearances by Adolfo Celi best know as Largo in Thunderball as well as legendry British actor Terry Thomas. A real reflection of 60â??s pop culture, more trashy than Bond or Flint, you will love it or hate it.
