Review of Damascus Cover (2017) by Anne A — 21 Jul 2018
Saw Damascus Cover opening night. I've been waiting years for this film and was not disappointed. From the opening credits till the very end, this film completely captivated and held my attention. Jonathan Rhys Meyers is mesmerizing in this role of the spy Ari Ben-Sion undercover as a German rug salesman Hans Hoffman.
This is an old fashioned spy thriller without bells and whistles , just a hard working agent that figures out what's going on and things are not as they seem. Wonderful cinematography , the viewer feels they are speeding through Damascus themselves.
Never any break in the action it's a thrill ride I highly recommend.
