Donnie Darko it ain't. It is an indie teen angst coming of age movie, with a cast of unknowns. It's a bit simplistic, and the characters aren't given a lot of depth; but it's entertaining enough and has a sensible central message: truth is relative.
Light entertainment with a soft centre.
