Review of Crossfire (1947) by Kathy R — 26 Aug 2007
Pretty good film noir, with a trio of Roberts. Ryan is quite good, and Young has some nice moments, like his speech about Irish-Catholics (although given certain details he mentions, I wonder if his character was meant to be somewhat older).
Mitchum isn't given much to do here unfortunately. Fans of Gloria Grahame like myself will be disappointed as she's only onscreen for maybe 8 minutes, despite being listed 4th in the credits. Still, she is great for the time she has and on the whole, the movie's worth a look.
