Review of Comic Book Villains (2002) by Sara A — 20 Dec 2008

I was hoping for a dark comedy, but this isn't it. It's a mix of Resevoir Dogs and Mallrats that never approaches the cleverness of either. It's somehow entertaining, but despite a strong cast, it's not anywhere near as good as it could have been.

But Cary Elwes turns in a fantastic performance that borders on Walkenesque at points and reminds us that even though he sucked in Saw, he's still a great actor.
