Review of Cold Weather (2010) by Chuck N — 30 Jun 2011
I was impressed by this indie film, for capturing how people actually talk to each other, and relate to one another. I respected the fact that "thrills" were downplayed, in order to achieve a genuine slice of cinematic life.
However, there were also scenes that were brimming with genuine suspense. Unfortunately, at times I would begin to drift off, as I would in real life, listening to friends chatter extensively and uneventfully.
My conclusion, 3 stars in entertainment, with 5 star potential for the director's future projects.
