Review of Coffin Rock (2009) by Sol H — 14 Nov 2009
'Coffin rock' is a tight little thriller from Australia about a woman who makes a drunken mistake in sleeping with a stranger in a bid to get pregnant. The stranger then goes to terrifying lengths to prove his paternity.
'Coffin rock' is very well made, the performances are terrific all round and the cinematography is excellent, the problem I had whilst watching the film was the constant feeling that i'd seen it all before.
The film owes alot to films such as 'The hand that rocks the cradle' and 'Fatal attraction', but so much so that the film loses its edge and suprise as it is too clear where the narraive is going, because of this I was very placid throughout instead of being on the edge of my seat.
