Review of Chimes at Midnight (1965) by Matthew M — 03 Feb 2008
The Battle of Shrewsbury is unbelievable. Welles is perfect as Falstaff, a role he was certainly born to play. The film carries a deep sense of melancholy for the passing of an age. A masterpiece.
