Review of Céline and Julie Go Boating (1974) by Andrew R — 29 Jul 2008
Wild and imaginative film by Rivette. This is a film full of magic and fantasy. It feels like one of those endless summer days in my childhood when everything felt mysterious. Clearly it has been a great inspiration to directors like David Lynch and one could even say that his Inland Empire has many things common with this unique film.
This is funny, creepy and wildly adventurous film that has no limits. Find it and see it.
