It might be considered a bit of a 'chick flick' were it not for the exotic scenery. In that way I guess it'd be more of a Harlequin novel. I thought it was great though due to the interesting take on the culture. It dawned on me that Alexander Siddig was Dr. Julian Bashir in the television series Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.
If you want to get a glimpse of "an expat" experience, rent this. It looked great on Blu-ray.
