Review of Brick Lane (2007) by Nicholas S — 04 Dec 2007
This is a moving depiction of the kind of life that few people reading these reviews could ever imagine. The haunting soundtrack tugged the strings of my heart, and the cast were outstanding. The shots of Bangladesh were perhaps a little too idealised, but some of the scenes made wonderful use of lighting and colour.
This is one of my favourite films.
