Review of Boyhood (1951) by Kim B — 19 Aug 2016
A very nostalgic film that meanders along the life of a random boy from about 6 to 18. U cant help but relate to him and enjoy some of the supporting cast a lot as well. From his first heartache to family drama to fighting with his sibling to being new at school.
The really cool part was how the film literally had all the same cast over this like 12 year project and watching them age. U have no idea how some things will turn out like the father figures and thats what was cool just like life.
Some parts had excellent scripting n insights too. I also liked how it referenced different events in pop culture to an extent like harry potter and facebook. Reminds me of the up series.
