More of a curiosity piece, than a movie, "Bolden" has top-notch production values. Unfortunately, too much time is spent focusing on the tragedy of Bolden's life and not enough on what made him a great artist.
The film would have been great as a short film, but insufficiently developed for a feature. Recommended only for indie film fans and jazz aficionados.
