Review of Bobby Jones: Stroke of Genius (2004) by Nate P — 05 Jul 2007
I must preface my remarks by noting that I am an enormous fan of the game of golf, of Jim Caviezel, and of James Horner; however, I must readily admit that this movie unfortunately left much to be desired.
.. Despite an excess of potential, the portrayal of golf's greatest legend falls quite flat right out of the gate. In addition, I do wonder if James Horner was short on time in penning the score. His manuscript is repetitive, uninspired, and a virtual clone of the Braveheart main title.
This stands as quite a personal disappointment for me.
