Review of Bob Dylan – Don't Look Back (1967) by Jonathan F — 24 Mar 2008
This is an excellent movie depicting Bob Dylan quite early in his career. It succeeds at portraying him exactly how he was without sugercoating anything. The "fly on the wall" technique Pennebaker used makes you feel like you're also part of Dylan's entourage.
I find it a very interesting insight into Bob and seeing him as a normal human being as well, seeing how he could be very full of him sometimes especially at the TIME interview. I just really feel sorry for Donovan, Bob rips on him a bit merciless.
However, the movie is absolutely brilliant and compelling.
