I know I recommend lots of movies, but this is the one that should be at the top of anyone's list. The film depicts the civilian massacre of Irish Civilians by an English Airborne Rgt. The film is shot like a documentary which takes a while to get use to.

There are lots of fades to black (to show time elapse), which I didn't like. Get over it, it's worth it. What the British government did to this Irish men is unforgettable. When the massacre finally takes places in the film, it is heart wrenching (I cried like a bay for 15 mins solid).

The doc. style adds to the feel, because you feel like this is the real thing. The great acting also carries the film very well. This movies is a testament to the sacrifices that people are willing to make for freedom.

Must see, no matter who you are. May mean a little more if you feel a little akin to Ireland (like myself).
