Review of Beyond the Sea (2004) by Kate M — 05 Dec 2007
Kevin Spacey is the man. He is the Lawrence Olivier of Hollywood. What a great movie, played with no-hold-barred bravura by Spacey and Kate Bosworth. Some great and memorable scenes, if you grew up in the '50s a lot of the atmospherics ring true.
The burning need to perform that takes precedence over everything else is served up in ways true to the time period. Probably won't interest the younger crew, but then, neither would Bobby Darin.
