Review of Beyond Re-Animator (2003) by Paul N — 08 Aug 2006
What a fun movie.
Beyond Re-Animator is the third part of this series (part 4 coming so excited!) in which Herbert West attempts to overcome the "disease" of death with gory and hilarious consequences.
This movie takes place in prison after Herbert is sent there for an experiment gone awry in the city. From that point he meets the new institutional doctor and with his help retries his luck to revive the dead. This time though, he has the secret to calming the irrational behaviour.
Yuzna made a really fun movie with beyond reanimator. You get everything with this movie. Split personalities, torsos attacking people, drug fiends who overdoes on the re-animation serum (with hilarious consequences) and even a rat that faces off with a penis.
If that didn't convince you, nothing will. Watch this movie now or have all your children (and any future children) molested by goats with ringworms.
