Despite the excess in artistic license, the film is excellant. The bloated image of Thomas Becket, and the emaciated image of Henry Plantaganet strip it of its historical commentary; however, the performances are excellent and so is the film.

This review of Becket (1964) was written by on 22 Jan 2008.

Becket has generally received very positive reviews.
