Review of Avatar (2011) by Abishai S — 08 May 2014
Although it's the greatest financial success of cinematic history so far, "Avatar" is of course not the best film of all time - but a fairly good one. While it earns loads of undeserved hatred for simple characters and storytelling, its technical achievements are groundbreaking and simply wonderful to watch.
It may lack the spirit of the Star Wars movies or the fancy design of the Alien saga, but its visuals and the action scenes make it one of the best Science Fiction flicks of recent times.
