Review of Atlantic City (1980) by John Z — 08 Mar 2009
A well made movie. It suffers from that strange problem that afflicts playwrights that try to write an action movie, but the characters are wonderful and deep as if they were in a play. If you are a fan of inner conflict and the stage then you will love this movie.
Sarandon is beautiful and Lancaster is perfectly cast. For anyone who has experienced things not working out as planned, but working out as they should, this movie is for you.
