Review of Anomalisa (2015) by Joey T — 09 Jan 2016
Like the best of Charlie Kaufman's work, Anomalisa is unique (especially stylistically), often times very funny, and incredibly thought provoking. At its core, however, Anomalisa is a captivating story, one that is both emotionally moving and devastating, about the mundane nature of life and the existential implications that come along with that.
Anomalisa, despite being a claymation movie, feels like the most intimate human drama of 2015. This definitely ranks amongst Kaufman's best work.
