Review of And Soon the Darkness (2010) by Michael A — 29 May 2011
This is not a movie. It's an instructional program on how to get kidnapped, raped and murdered in a foreign country. More idiotic decisions than you can shake a passport at.
After it was over, I lol'd about the description of the movie provided in the program guide on my satellite box. "A woman hires an American ex-pat to help her find her missing friend." Eh, Karl Urban is the guy and she doesn't hire him, they join forces by default and it's for all of 10 seconds, then the chick takes care of business by herself. Program Guide description fail. So yeah, there's really nothing great about this other than predictability lulz as well as the contours of Odette Yustman and Amber Heard.
