I wasn't expecting too much from this made-for-Logo adaptation of the Sarah Waters novel, but it surprised me by being pretty well done. The movie is true to the book, and captures the spirit of this torrid Victorian mystery/romance pretty well.
It's hard not to compare this one with the BBC adaptations of Waters's two other novels, but I was left with a pretty positive impression of Logo's work here.
