Review of Abigail's Party (1977) by David S — 07 May 2009
A very original Mike Leigh directed TV drama adapted from his play. Although it's dated the characters here are terrific - especially Alison Steadman's maneating Beverly, who hosts a get together with her neighbours.
What follows is fun and very tragic. A great watch.
