On the face of it, you wouldn't think this word work--these stars, this plot, this period--but it does, and quite well. Both leads are exceptional. If you're looking for history and conflict, this one isn't for you.
But if you want to feel a warm sense of satisfaction and pleasure, you'll be happy you decided to watch.
