Review of A Good Woman (2004) by Mike L — 06 Dec 2006
Gossip begets lies which begets gossip which begets lies and vice versa. It's a vicious cycle, the only antidote being the truth. But as we all know, sometimes it's just too late for the antidote; the truth can fail on numerous levels.
The people in A Good Woman know this. That makes up half the fun of this very entertaining, lurid melodrama, it's the very essence of what keeps us engaged in what could have been a routine costum drama.
