Review of A Chorus Line (1985) by Chris S — 11 Sep 2009
It's the movie for anyone who ever dreamed of making it big, reaching the top and doing what they do best for the rest of their lives. Some say that it doesn't capture the greatness of the Broadway musical from which it is based on but I've neither seen its Broadway musical or seen any musical at all.
Sure, it isn't the greatest of musicals but it hits me in the heart at the right place, more than any other MGM musical could do. The musical numbers are fabulous in a campy way.
