Review of 99 Homes (2015) by Sandy K — 29 May 2016
Damn. A film hasn't been this tense and uncomfortable to watch for me in quite some time. The pain of people being pulled out of their homes in a state of confusion and loss is almost unbearable to watch but I'm so glad that I did because this really is a tremendous piece of work.
Aside from the statements on our current economic reality, Andrew Garfield's performance here is a thing of beauty and its criminal that he didn't get more awards recognition for it. This is definitely worth visiting.
