Review of Zatoichi Challenged (1967) by Joshua B — 06 Mar 2015
Zatoichi is tasked by a dying mother to bring the child to the father, whom the child has never met. The plot is very straight forward and incredibly pedestrian, but its the film's final fight between Ichi and a government official that really makes this entry shine.
It takes place during a light snowfall, with incredible cinematography and choreography. It goes to show how a third act can really save a film. If not for the final fight, this movie would have suffered indeed.
