Review of Zabriskie Point (1970) by Gabriel K — 27 Jun 2009
Definitely a vintage Antonioni piece, although it is quite amazing that he could make such film in the United States. A great dissecting look an young late Sixties generation. As usual with Antonioni, this film was quite misunderstood when it was released in 1970 but over the years has gained a lot credibility and following.
Great stunning cinematography is present here and as usual more is expressed visually about the main characters inner state then via dialogues. There are several memorable scenes that will keep you thinking long after watching the film.
A must see, in my opinion.
