Review of Young Adult (2011) by Kase V — 22 Jul 2012
It is my opinion that a lot of people who didn't like this film is because they went to see a movie that they thought was going to be a comedy. The trailer for this movie, like many other movies, failed to display the type of movie it really is.
That being said, I found this to be a brilliant little film, Theron stole the show and I found the small details hilarious, even though it is not really a comedy. I don't really even think it is a black comedy, I think it is a drama with some dark comedy mixed in.
I think the point of the film is delivered unflinchingly. Some people will see it and others won't. Bravo for being so unapologetic.
