Review of Wolfen (1981) by Michael A — 26 Apr 2010

Even though I'd heard this was good ahead of time, I was still quite surprised. I never expect to get much social commentary in horror films, or really any kind of serious message. Especially if they outwardly have the appearance of being creature features. But I found the subversion of my expectations wonderfully refreshing in this case. A horror flick that asks you to think...imagine that.

Great performances, a sort of precursor to Predator vision, a strong message, and wolves...what's not to love?
