Review of Wild Things (1998) by Jay F — 23 Jun 2013
A trashy, clever crime thriller/noir with pitch perfect performances. This is Denise Richards' best role ever and I mean that as a compliment. She is brilliant at playing a tramp. Kudos to Bill Murray for signing on and making his 10 minutes of screen time count. Neve Campbell's wig is unfortunate in the final act, but she gets to sail a boat which is fun. Kevin Bacon and Matt Dillon ham it up, especially Bacon who talks and looks like he's stepped out of a 1940s film noir.
My goal is to make the next Wild Things. It's gonna happen...wait for it.
