Review of What Time Is It There? (2001) by Blake B — 23 Feb 2008
Awkward, and seems to be enamored with its own awkwardness. The director uses lots of long still silent shots, the same type used in American Beauty, though here they fall flat. Character wise, also very flat. How are we to know the characters when they silent and mostly inactive.
More style than substance, and not even well done style.
