"You are amazing".Well, a line from the movie which describes Lon Chaney's character and amazing he is not.Chaney's wooden acting as a Sociology Professor with a Hawaiian princess bride is about as laughably stupid as we can get, particularly as the plot can barely handle the intrigue that surrounds his relationship with his wife and also that of his peers and students so that Chaney seems to emerge as a shining light of hyper- intelligence amidst all this general bitchiness.

Pinocchio is more convincing in his acting and we almost expect him to turn into a wolf at any moment to relieve us of this tedium.Amazingly the plot of this B movie was resurrected in 1962 in Burn Witch Burn.
