Review of War of the Arrows (2011) by Robert H — 28 Mar 2013
Move over Robin Hood, there's a new master of the bow in the house! War of the Arrows takes a wide birth around the bigger picture of the politics behind the events taking place in this film in favour of telling the more intimate story of a brother and sister. While this eventually degrades into a one man bow and arrow machine fighting the "bad guys" it's at least some really good action sequences.
I would have liked to have had more actual story development but as far as character development goes, this film lays it on pretty heavy when it comes to the main characters.
Quite enjoyable for fans of action films. Those looking for more drama should probably look elsewhere.
