Review of War Dance (2007) by Stevie W — 13 Dec 2007
To watch these war torn children find their soul again through music and dance is just heartbreaking and beautiful. The only hitch is their highly visual dramatic monologues that kind of take away from the natural story at hand.
A filmmakers choice, but one that feels a bit too slick for me. But once those scenes play out, the rest of the film gets back to the core and wins you over hands and tears down.
