Review of Waffle Street (2015) by Michael V — 13 Nov 2016
Based on a true story I believe, Waffle Street is a story of a hardworking business man who loses his job and decides to find himself by taking a job at a diner. The performances lacked the emotion I thought they needed and could be due to the actors chosen. Perhaps these roles were outside their acting ability. Nonetheless it is a good movie and enforces the notion of being yourself, not succumbing to the opinions of others and chasing after what makes you happy. My true biggest issue is Danny Glover. I love this guy but he didn't seem to care much about his role. He fell flat. His character, the chef, should have been much much more.
It is a good movie and is worth a watch. It delivers an uplifting message.
