Review of Umberto D. (1952) by Anthony D — 19 Feb 2009
Deliberately paced but oh so charming. It really drew me in and made me empathise with Umberto. The landlady comes across as a little one dimensional, but that's just nitpicking. For a film to have such a profound effect on me as this one did, I just HAVE to give it 5 stars.
