Review of Udaan (2010) by Abhishek T — 30 Aug 2010
I've seen a lot of 'coming-off-age' and 'finding urself' films lately and generally all of those revolve around crazy millionaire kids trying to find their way in life! What makes 'Udaan' different from such movies is that it revolves around a middle class boy.
..and when it comes to that, its about taking the first step to self discovery, the first step to responsibility, the first step towards doing what you want and I think being from that bracket makes it another ball game.
Technically, the film is very well knit too with actors doing a fantastic job, especially the bad ass father Ronit Roy...scoring by Amit Trivedi is great as usual...so's the direction and visuals.
