Review of Trash Humpers (2010) by Brad H — 30 Jan 2011
So if you like your movies to have a plot or storyline, then Harmony Korine films are probably not for you. In fact, "Trash Humpers" is probably his most inaccessible film yet! And thatâ(TM)s saying something if youâ(TM)ve ever seen "Gummo" or "Julien Donkey Boy".
Shot entirely on an old, thrift-store VHS camera then edited using only two VCRâ(TM)s, "Trash Humpers" is probably best described as a non-linear exploration of the grimy underside of the American landscape.
Then again, you could probably say the same thing for all his other films. Only recommended for those interested in very experimental cinema.
