A manipulative, derivative mess of a film. We are given no reason to care about anyone, except for the fact that it's the holocaust and there are Jews. There is hardly any acting from anyone involved, and the whole thing is a setup for one moment, but because no care is taken in gaining our sympathies, the whole thing falls flat.
Not enjoyable in the slightest, and a totally undeserving nominee.
