Review of To All the Boys I've Loved Before (2018) by Ciah F — 18 Aug 2018
Not just another teen movie.
Can we all agree that comparisions to The Kissing Booth need to stop? To All The Boys I've Loved Before is in a completely different league. First of all, I can't even explain how happy it makes me that they made one of my favorite YA books into a movie, but the fact that they did it so well? Please take the time to watch this. It's inspiring. This Monday I will walk through the high school doors with my earbuds in, the movie's soundtrack playing, read to live my life for real. Lara Jean is unapologetically herself, and we should all take a cue from her. Refreshing, exciting- I just can't decide if the sweet satisfaction of sequels are worth To All The Boys being sucked into our current So-And-So 2, So-And-So 3, and so on world. But, I suppose, who I am kidding? Of course it would be.
