Review of They Came Together (2014) by Eric B — 18 Sep 2014
A very funny, witty, smart send-up of Hollywood rom-coms. It cleverly uses virtually every cliche you have ever seen in such a film, and is best seen as satire. There are many references to such films as You've Got Mail, Sleepless in Seattle, and others of the same stripe.
It also throws in some Zucker Brothers/Farrelly Brothers comedy of the absurd. I found myself laughing out loud through much of the 83 minutes--a perfect length for such a movie. Highly recommended, though not for every taste.
