Review of The Woman (2011) by Anna L — 10 Oct 2011
The Woman is not a movie for everyone, and it doesn't aim to be. It deals with some extremely brutal content, and whilst it doesn't linger on the sexual violence to the extent some critics are implying, it is very confrontational with the emotional pain of the horrific events it presents, and the third act is one of the most intense I've seen in quite some time.
So, if you are looking for an expertly executed horror movie that WILL provoke a reaction and contains some great performances (in particular from Pollyanna), look no further.
