Review of The White Stripes: Under Great White Northern Lights (2009) by Darren C — 05 Feb 2013
Starters: I love the White Stripes. I am Canadian. So this is a perfect mix for me. Concept is wonderful. And executed in such a great way: tour the country that you have never toured very much, that is right next door, and go to every section of it, with some little stops along the way.
Love the concert in the bowling alley in Saskatoon. Love that they had Buddy MacMaster and Ashley MacIsaac "open" for them in Nova Scotia. If I have a gripe, it's that they only really focus on the Yukon, NWT, Nunavut, and Nova Scotia, with no mention of Alberta or BC, and some vignettes of the Ontario, and Manitoba and NFLD stuff.
But what I got, I loved.
