Review of The Walker (2007) by John R — 05 Aug 2008
The pace of this film, and wondering what Woody Harrelson has a mouthful of will not appeal to everyone. That said. this film is timely in looking at the white, white world of Washington wives, the social nuances of who your friends truly are and what happens when things go horribly wrong.
A strong cast, Kristin Scott Thomas is the classic chilly beauty and Lauren Bacall is well, Lauren Bacall. One of my favorite lines involved her, as a seasoned Washingtonite making the observation that marrying for money was the most difficult job of all because one had to learn you just got to look at it.
