Review of The Tree of Life (2011) by Alejandro S — 15 Aug 2012
It's hard to describe the perfect film. Acting and writing are important elements of one, yes, but there has to be more. A film should not only be brilliant in the technical sense, but it should make you feel something. Terrence Malick achieves the prefect film with "The Tree of Life," never forgetting that what the filmmaker is trying to say should take as much precedence as the way the film looks.
One of the most transcendent, emotional films ever made.
