Review of The Terminator (1984) by Rjmacready — 25 Jul 2020
Sure: the effects and some of the soundtrack selections have dated somewhat – the pop songs I mean, not the magnificent score! – yet this is still one of the most compelling sci-fi/action movies ever made, and an astonishingly resourceful achievement for its relatively low budget. It also functions surprisingly well as both a horror AND romance film, making it one of the most successfully multi-genred movies of all time.
A must-see for virtually anyone who can get past a bit of dodgy make-up and stop-motion.
